Yup.  My addiction to the Zumba Fitness Rush game for Kinect is taking over my life!

I have achieved the "Burn 20,000 Calories" and "Workout 12 hours in 1 month" and only have a few left...

I'm now worried about "Unlock all Videos".  I have one video left to unlock, but I don't know what I need to do to unlock that last vid.  There are behind the scenes/making-of videos.  They are actually pretty fun to watch, and I've only got ONE MORE to unlock!

I have found that it's good to take a break every once in a while.  I get angry at the Zumba and having to do it, and feeling obligated, and when that happens I really don't have fun.  The reason is usually that I'm exhausted and have no energy for dancing around my apartment, and since I have nearly run out of the "short" workouts, I have to commit to an hour and 15 minutes of work out in order to feel like I'm being productive.

Another thing... I'm considering next year's resolution, and I don't know what to do.  I thought about making my own clothes all year... That one is an old favorite.  Maybe something more "Bucket List"-y....

Sewing Room Make-Over!!

My mom is awesome!

For Christmas this year she got me the Sew Essentials Quilter's Design Table.  It collapses and hides your sewing machine and serger.  This way I can have company it doesn't look like a cluttered sewing room mess!

Here's the before and after:

2012 Resolution...

So, as many of you know, this blog started as a chronicle of my quest to make 52 quilts in 2011.  It's become a crash spot for all things crafty, but I also have a New Year's Resolution that I've been working toward for 2012.  My New Year's Resolution for 2012 is to finish (complete to 100%) the Zumba Fitness Rush video game.

Here's where we are:

I have a few achievements left, and I didn't do Zumba for a few months in the summer, so I thought it wasn't possible to finish the game.  I was wrong.  :)

I have decided to go for it, and go after my goal of finishing the game.

Here's what I have left:

Burn 20,000 calories
Work out 12 full hours in one month
Complete a full 2 person workout
Complete a 2 person song with 10 stars
Unlock all bonus videos
Get all achievements
Complete all individual routines
Complete one full-length workout.

My neighbor Amy has agreed to help me with the 2 person ones, so those will get done.  The ones that are worrisome right now are the burn 20,000 calories and Complete all individual routines.  It might be a push to the 31st of December (but, what fun would it be if I wasn't racing the clock?!?)

Love the new machine! And... How is the 2012 Resolution going?

So, I officially have my Viking Sapphire 835 Sewing Machine, and I am in love.  When Kevin saw my first finished quilt with the new machine he said, "I don't want to say that your other quilts look "unprofessional", but it looks so professional!"  I would recommend this machine to any quilter.  The throat is a great size.  I quilted a Queen Size quilt all in one piece on it (finished that yesterday), and it was a dream.  No puckers, no tension problems.  LOVE!

As for 2012... well, I wanted to make a resolution that would focus a little bit more on getting me out of my sewing chair... So, I decided to start with "Complete to 100% the Zumba video game for Kinect".  So far, I am well on my way.  I discovered that it's almost impossible to complete the first version of the game to 100% (for example, you have to dance with 100 different people online), but for our Anniversary Kevin got me the sequel to the Game.  It's "Zumba Fitness Rush", and it's a BLAST.  Any problems with the original game are gone, the music is amazing (including some Broadway-style Charleston), and it's totally completeable.  It keeps track of calories, and the big challenge is to burn 100,000 calories.  I think that in the three weeks that I've been doing the new game I've only burned 2,000, so I'm going to have to up the ante to complete that one...

I'll keep better track of my stats, and let you all know how it's going!  Zumba!
